Ted Merry worked as a waiter for 35 years before beginning his real estate career with Real Estate Homeward. He decided to make the quick change in 2013 when he realized that working until 2 or 3 a.m. was getting to him. With a son that is a contractor and the similar mindset and focus on customer service between the two industries, a real estate career was the natural option for him. An added bonus for Ted is that he gets to network and meet new people every day. It is no wonder that he is more patient, polite and appreciative than the average realtor. The biggest challenge for Ted is being on call and having to answer the phone right away, something he is addressing by experimenting with his routine and schedule. Over the last year, he worked on 8 deals, mostly referred from family and others. His quick start in real estate was helped by working the front desk phones, a great way to meet other brokers and learn as much as he could. Ted is passionate about his family and enjoys spending time with his children.
