Before David Hutcheon started his real estate career in 2008, he already had a long list of accomplishments that would serve him well. He had run for the PC party as MPP for High Park, was the Vice Chair of the Environmental Review Tribunal, Vice Chair of the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal, served on the Toronto Real Estate Board Government Relations Committee and the Toronto Real Estate Board Adjustments Committee, as well as acted as a Hearing Officer of the Landlord-Tenant Review Tribunal. Even before then, David had graduated from Prestigious Rutgers University with a Masters Degree in Public Affairs while on a three year scholarship. Later, he worked in TV, news and public affairs, producing Newsweek for Global Media and also working for ZNSTV in the Bahamas. David’s driving force has always been his enjoyment in building communities and helping people. He decided to enter real estate after being inspired by his MPP Campaign Manager’s husband, at the time, a realtor with Real Estate Homeward. David decided to join the Homeward team because of the brokerage’s approach in letting newbies work in an hand on fashion, which was an invaluable part of his training. Homeward's enthusiasm and dealings with clients, combined with the firm's experience with tribunals, the tenancy act and TREB have allowed him to provide exceptional care for his clients. His philosophy is that the client is always right and give the best possible service that you can. As a broker, David shares that the best time to get a new deal is right after a successful deal so don’t rest on your laurels.
